Your Child Doesn't Need More Friends

One of the greatest gifts you can give your child isn't helping them make more friends.

It's helping them choose better ones.

Parents often worry about whether their child is accepted.

God is far more concerned with who is shaping them.

Show me your friends, and I'll show you your future.

Friendships influence values, habits, language, priorities, confidence, and character.

That's why choosing friends is more important than simply having them.

Teach your children to look beyond popularity.

Encourage them to find friends who are kind, honest, dependable, and willing to do what's right even when it's difficult.

Remind them that it's better to stand alone than to stand with the wrong crowd.

Your child's closest friends will either reinforce the values you're teaching at home...or slowly replace them.

Help them choose wisely.
