Don't Waste Their Mistakes

Not every mistake deserves a rescue.

Some deserve a lesson.

If your child spends their allowance poorly...

Forgets their jacket...

Misses a homework assignment...

Those are inexpensive mistakes.

Life is providing an education you couldn't create yourself.

Parents often rush in because we hate seeing our children uncomfortable.

But discomfort isn't always the enemy.

Sometimes it's the teacher.

Save your intervention for the decisions that truly matter.

Allow life's smaller consequences to do some of the teaching.

This Week's Reset

Allow one natural consequence to happen this week instead of preventing it.

Ask Yourself

Am I protecting my child from a mistake...or from learning through one?
